Get to know her better with these 10 Fun Questions.

1. When did you realize you wanted to make music a career?

I actually just realized that I should pursue my passions of being an artist, therefore making it into a musical career. When I say “just” I mean literally this past summer. I met some people that truly believe in me and have pushed me to jump back in the booth after a decade away from professionally singing. I got too shy as a teen and veered away from my passions. Took time to regroup and come back better. Here we are!

2. Who influences you musically?

Some people that influence me musically are Summer Walker, Miguel, Mariah Carey, Genuwine, Ariana Grande. I’ve also always loved Salt-N-Pepa so I listen to them to get me hyped up before singing. My favorite artists would definitely have to be Givēon, Chris Brown, Drake, Latto, Ye Ali. My musical choices may change based on the vibe I am feeling at the time.

3. Who is your celebrity crush?

My celebrity crush… telling my secrets now. Odell Beckham Jr. is for sure my celeb crush.

4. If you could collaborate with any country artist who would you pick?

Wow! If I could collab with any country artist, I would say Shania Twain. My Nana and mother and I used to always sing along to her songs growing up. Maybe even Dolly Parton because she was a huge influence on my childhood considering where I grew up. She is a legend.

5. Your girls call you up and they want to hit the town. You have nothing to wear and only have a hour to grab something. Where do you go?

(Laughs) I have so many clothes that I think I could scrounge something up. If I had to run somewhere to find something to wear, I would say Windsor. They have cute stuff!

6. What’s one food you could eat for the rest of your life?

How can I pick just one food? I love all food. I don’t discriminate against any foods, they’re all equal and loved. My particular favorites are Japanese cuisines to include sushi, Jamaican cuisines, and Thai cuisines.

7. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Up. Wherever I am, it’s going to be better than where I am now and anywhere I’ve ever been. I will be performing, creating art that I am passionate about. And I’ll own a vacation home in another country.

8. Do you have any future projects in the works?

Actually, I have a single coming out on October 10, 2021. I am super excited about it because it is my first single off of the project I am working on: With Love, Cammy, which will also be announced for release very soon. I’ve put a lot of work into this project. Getting off of work, hopping on a flight to head to the studio in Miami, recording all day, catching a flight early the next morning to come home and jump right back into work again. The amounts of late nights, recovering from a rough battle with COVID, regaining my voice back, it’s all been hurdles that I am proud to discuss and overcome. The funny part is, these aren’t even the hardest battles I’ve had to overcome as an artist. One day, I hope to be able to explain just why this project means so much to me and I cannot wait to release it all for you to hear!

9. What’s one topic or charity you’re passionate about?

One topic that I would say I am passionate about is humanitarianism – and, sorry I can’t only pick one… protecting our planet Earth. I believe that human suffering should be addressed regardless of where it is found and it should be mitigated immediately without being driven by political motives. Like, just be a good human being to other human beings. Firm believer in karma. And, we only have one planet. I’m passionate about protecting Mother Nature to include the earth and all of her inhabitants, really.

10. What do you want the world to know about Cammy?

Coming from humble beginnings, I always knew I had bigger dreams to follow. With Love, Cammy embodies the blood, sweat, and tears of every person that “got it out the mud” and proceeded to also give back to their communities. I am following my biggest dreams so that I can continue giving to those that need it most, our communities. I’m just a bluegrass girl with big dreams.
