Rapper will headline Breakaway Sunday

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Prime Social Group has announced 21 Savage as the new “Breakaway Sunday” headliner of the Columbus Ohio three-day music festival on August 28th, replacing rapper Gunna.

“It is with great disappointment we have to remove Gunna from our Sunday lineup of Breakaway Ohio” states Zach Ruben, co-founder of Prime Social Group. “We know that 21 Savage is an incredible replacement and sure to provide just as much hype and entertainment for Breakaway Sunday.”

The festival, being held at the Historic Crew Stadium will feature The Chainsmokers, Griz, Slander, Quinn XCII, Moneybagg Yo, Lane 8, Cordae, Yung Gravy, Fivio Foreign, JAUZ Off the Deep End, Chris Lorenzo, Audien, Kaash Paige, Lost Kings, Jonas Blue, GASHI, Lucii, Evan Giia and more.

The Breakaway Music Festival will kick off in Kansas City on August 5th and 6th before traveling to Michigan on August 19th and 20th, Ohio on August 26-28th, North Carolina on September 30th and October 1st, and California on October 14th and 15th. Breakaway is working closely with partners and local officials in all five markets to ensure quality festival experiences fans have come to expect while implementing heightened health and safety protocols.

In addition to the stellar lineup, Breakaway will have onsite activations at each festival including the Corona Electric Beach, silent disco, a roller rink, rides, local art, and more, taking its unique, all encompassing music experience to a whole new level.

Tickets for Breakaway Ohio are now on sale. Friday and Saturday single day passes to go on-sale at a later date.

Lineups and tickets for the remaining festival in California to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Breakaway Music Festival began in Columbus, OH, in 2013 and quickly grew into a two-day, multiple stage festival bringing exceptional names like Chance The Rapper and Kendrick Lamar to the Midwest. With several market expansions over the years, the multi-city festival has amassed a loyal following with over 60,000 in attendance in 2021 in Ohio, North Carolina, and Michigan.
