Lady Antebellum named Cracker Barrel’s Spotlight Music partner

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has announced its latest Spotlight Music partner, seven-time Grammy Award-winning trio Lady Antebellum, as they highlight their sixth studio album Heart Break (Capitol Records Nashville), available June 9th. Cracker Barrel will offer the trio’s new record and vinyl formats at all stores nationwide and online at crackerbarrel.com.

Alongside producer busbee, Lady Antebellum’s desire to shake things up was made evident by their current Top 15 single “You Look Good,” complete with a funky horn arrangement. The trio had a hand in writing eleven songs on Heart Break resulting in their most intimate and heartfelt work to date. As Lady Antebellum gears up to get back on the road, the group is excited to add this new range of sounds and colors into a set already packed with a familiar arsenal of hits. Heart Break ranges from the sweet melancholy of “Somebody Else’s Heart” to the dramatic, surging ballad “Hurt,” which is a powerful vehicle for co-lead singer Hillary Scott’s voice as she soars over a spare rhythm section and classic string arrangement. With the clever extended metaphor of its lyrics and percolating groove, “Army” has a feel that’s a throwback to ’70s pop, while the bright, breezy lift-off of “Think About You,” with an R&B-style guitar bouncing off of a banjo lick, is entirely of the moment.

Heart Break shares our personal stories over the past decade and has a universal feel to it that everyone has related to at one time or another,” states Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley. “We can’t wait to get it out and are excited to share the record with Cracker Barrel guests on vinyl, too.”

“As part of our commitment to music and entertainment, Cracker Barrel’s Spotlight Music Program has always been grounded in partnerships with emerging artists and musical legends alike.”

After taking time to pursue solo projects last year, Lady Antebellum returned to the road last Friday (May 26th) as they kicked off 65+ show You Look Good Tour in Bakersfield, CA with Brett Young and Kelsea Ballerini. To date, Lady Antebellum has sold over 18 million units, received nine No. 1 hits, and swept the country music category by taking home Billboard Music Awards, multiple ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” Awards, and a People’s Choice Award.

“As part of our commitment to music and entertainment, Cracker Barrel’s Spotlight Music Program has always been grounded in partnerships with emerging artists and musical legends alike,” states Cracker Barrel Senior Vice President of Marketing Don Hoffman. “Lady Antebellum is one of those icons of the industry, and we’re pleased to bring their music to our guests nationwide, as well as to share a few original videos on our social channels through the Spotlight program.”

Cracker Barrel has released albums with a wide variety of artists, some of which have debuted in top spots on a range of Billboard charts. Recent Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Spotlight Music partners show the diverse range of genres and artists that partner with the brand, including MercyMe, Alison Krauss, Anthony Hamilton, Rachel Platten and Reba McEntire. In February, Cracker Barrel’s partnership with a cappella group Pentatonix and singer-songwriter legend Dolly Parton won the artists a Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their unique remix of Parton’s 1970s hit “Jolene.”
