5 Seconds Of Summer to release ‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ October 23rd

Sounds Good Feels Good, the new studio album from 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS), will be released on October 23rd via Hi or Hey Records/Capitol Records. It is the follow-up to the band’s chart-topping, self-titled debut album, which has sold more than three million copies worldwide. Sounds Good Feels Good sees the band collaborate again with rock veteran John Feldmann (All Time Low, Good Charlotte, Boys Like Girls), who executive produced the new, adrenaline-fueled album.

The album pre-order will launch on Friday, August 14th. Fans who pre-order Sounds Good Feels Good digitally will instantly receive the first single, “She’s Kinda Hot,” plus “Fly Away,” another track from the album.

Lead single “She’s Kinda Hot” is a lyrically mischievous riot of an anthem that has already topped the iTunes charts in 41 countries while “Hey Everybody!” and live favorite “Permanent Vacation” are all-out rock assaults, with crunchy guitars, high octane drumming and massive choruses. “Jet Black Heart” shines the spotlight on the vocals that have endeared the band to millions of fans worldwide. The band spent three months living together in a studio in Los Angeles, writing and recording Sounds Good Feels Good. The result is an album that the band members have poured their hearts into and cannot wait to share with the world. See below for track listing.

Billboard observed, “The Aussie quartet cranks up the amps on ‘She’s Kinda Hot’…guaranteed to crush radio” while Alternative Press said the song was “sure to be a summer hit for many years to come.” The track has already entered the Top 20 at Top 40 radio, according to Mediabase and BDS. “She’s Kinda Hot,” has been added to Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist and is in the Top 10 of Shazam’s USA Future Hits chart.

The band shot the official video for “She’s Kinda Hot” with director Isaac Rentz (Cage The Elephant, Blink 182), who also directed 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Good Girls,” “Amnesia” and “Don’t Stop” videos.

5 Seconds of Summer will perform at the Teen Choice Awards, airing live on FOX this Sunday, August 16th at 8 pm / 7 pm CT. The band won two awards in 2014 and is nominated for seven awards this year. On Friday, August 21st, they will appear on Good Morning America, performing in New York City’s Central Park as part of the show’s 2015 summer concert series.

“Get ready for an all-out 5SOS blitz: They’re headlining amphitheaters and arenas in America right now,” said Rolling Stone. The North American leg of the band’s “Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour” is underway and includes a show at Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, PA (August 29th) and a two-night stand the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY (September 1st and 2nd). The band spent the last few months performing sold-out shows across the UK, Europe and Australia, including three massive sold-out nights at the SSE Wembley Arena. By the end of 2015, 5 Seconds of Summer will have played to more than one million fans across four continents. See below for itinerary.

5 Seconds of Summer’s self-titled debut album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1, selling 260,000 units in the U.S. in its first week of release, marking the biggest debut for a new act in 2014. It topped the iTunes charts in a total of 76 countries. The band has won numerous awards, including an American Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, five MTV European Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award and an iHeartRadio Music Award.
