The Feeling of Falling Upwards airs live from London

On the eve of their new album, 5 Seconds of Summer will perform an exclusive global livestream, The Feeling of Falling Upwards, from the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London on Thursday, September 22nd.

To commemorate the release of the band’s fifth studio album, 5SOS5, the group will perform a set of reimagined versions of songs from their 11 year catalogue plus brand-new songs off the new album, accompanied by an orchestra and choir.

This will be the first time the band has played at the iconic venue but amazingly a special full circle moment, being also only steps away from where the band busked when they first arrived in the UK nearly 10 years ago.

Produced by Driift, the fully-live performance will be streamed worldwide at 8.30 pm London-time (BST). The show will then be rebroadcast three times at 8:30 pm ET, 8:30 pm PT, and Friday, September 23rd at 8:30 pm AEST so fans around the world can watch at a more convenient time. Following that, the show will be available to watch On Demand through Monday, September 26th at 2 pm BST.

Tickets, which are on sale now via Dreamstage, grant access to the livestream, all rebroadcasts, and to the three-day On Demand viewing period.

VIP tickets will be available for purchase and include access to view an exclusive pre-show Q&A with 5 Seconds of Summer live from The Royal Albert Hall at 7 pm, followed by an exclusive video screening, The Making of the Album 5SOS5.

“To celebrate the release of our fifth studio album, 5SOS5, we really wanted to do something that could involve all our fans around the world. That’s where the idea was born. For this special show, we will perform a set of reimagined songs from our career plus brand new tracks off the new album, accompanied by an orchestra and choir,” the band shares.

They continue, “This will be a show like nothing we have ever done before and what’s so special is we actually busked just outside the Royal Albert Hall back in 2013 to a few ‘day one’ fans! To now play a show there, at one of the most iconic venues in the world is a really unique moment and one we felt was the perfect way to commemorate the new album.

“We can’t wait to share this night with you and are so grateful to still be taking this journey with every single one of you.”

5SOS5 will arrive on September 23rd, and be released independently via BMG. The deluxe CD and digital versions of the album will have 19 tracks with standard CD, cassette and vinyl formats also available.

5SOS5 will showcase the band’s multi-faceted artistry and growth over their 10-year career, highlighting their dynamic sound, accompanied by reflective and intimate lyrics. With the majority of the new album written by the band and Michael Clifford leading on production, 5SOS5 will include their previously released tracks “Take My Hand,” “Me, Myself & I,” and their smash hit “Complete Mess.”
