Music’s Biggest Night returns to Los Angeles in Jan

The Recording Academy has announced the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards nominations will take place on Tuesday, November 23rd. Music’s Biggest Night, which returns to Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Monday, January 31, 2022, will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on demand on Paramount+ from 8-11:30 pm ET/5-8:30 pm PT.

First round of voting runs from October 22nd through November 5th with the final round taking place December 6 through January 5, 2022.

Key GRAMMY Week events will be announced closer to the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

The Recording Academy will be closely monitoring COVID-19 regulations and safety guidelines with dates and in-person events subject to change.

Earlier this year, the Recording Academy released a series of changes to its annual award show, which includes the discontinuation of nomination review committees, the reduction in the number of categories voters may vote and the addition of the Best Global Music Performance and Best Música Urbana Album categories, among others.

This summer, the Recording Academy announced that the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2022 will be produced with an Inclusion Rider, a contract addendum designed to be a powerful tool to ensure equity and inclusion at every level of the production. The Inclusion Rider is part of the larger #ChangeMusic initiative and was created in partnership with Color Of Change. Poised to be the first major music awards show production to publicly commit to using an Inclusion Rider, the Recording Academy’s adoption for the GRAMMY Awards illustrates the adaptability and expansion of a tool that was originally developed to address systemic diversity and equity issues in film and television.
