ABBA celebrates 50th anniversary of self-titled album

All four singles on the project will also be available separately

Fifty years has passed since ABBA’s self-titled album was released in 1975. The project features the classic hits “Mamma Mia,” “SOS,” and “I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do.” Universal Music Group will reissueย ABBA as an anniversary package on June 13th.

ABBA will be available as a Half-Speed mastered 45RPM 2 LP vinyl, including new liner notes, obi-strip, and certificate of authenticity. The singles, originally released by Polar in 1975, will also be available as separate picture discs in see-through plastic bags, and as a limited-edition seven-inch box set.

The seven-inch box set includes four singles from the album, each with a b-side companion track, on four separately colored discs — white, red transparent, red, and yellow — housed in a lift-off lid box. Individual sleeves incorporate classic band imagery from the original era. The boxesย feature a lift-off lid and are individually numbered.

The audio was mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road.
