Adam Doleac returns with ‘Playin’ Catch’

The nostalgic new single is available now

Critically-acclaimed country music singer-songwriter Adam Doleac has returned with his poignant new single, โ€œPlayinโ€™ Catch,โ€ available now via Mom and Daddy’s Money. Written by Doleac alongside Andy Skib (Keith Urban, Hunter Hayes, Mickey Guyton) and Derrick Southerland (Alana Springsteen, Ingrid Andress, Breland), the track is a tender reflection on the simple, yet profound moments shared between a father and son. Through heartfelt storytelling and relatable imagery, Doleac’s “Playin’ Catch” evokes a sense of nostalgia and appreciation for the everyday memories with family.

“โ€™Playin’ Catchโ€™” is a song about just that…playing catch. I’d wait all day for my dad to get home to throw with me. What I didn’t realize back then was how different it must have looked for him,โ€ says Doleac. โ€œI was thinking about a fastball, but he was thinking about how fast time flies. He was catchin’ up, and I was just playin’ catch.”

โ€œPlayinโ€™ Catchโ€ arrives on the heels of Doleacโ€™s powerful single, โ€œBar Named Jesusโ€ featuring global superstar Thomas Rhett. The heartfelt release explores themes of redemption, forgiveness, and finding solace in faith while discovering a sense of belonging in a place of spiritual refuge – represented as “a bar named Jesus.” The new single is joined by an official performance video starring both artists.

Throughout 2025, Doleac is embarking on his own Dream House Acoustic Tour, where he is playing sold-out, intimate venues across the country in major cities including Nashville, Chicago, Washington D.C., Omaha, and more to be announced.
