Adele announces 2016 North American tour dates

Just a few weeks after announcing a European tour for 2016, Adele has announced that she will embark on her first North American tour in five years in 2016. The 56 date trek includes six nights at both Los Angeles’ Staples Center and New York’s Madison Square Garden with most other cities receiving two to three nights each.

Tickets to the general public for the 2016 North American tour dates go on sale Thursday, December 17th at 10 am local time through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $37.45 to $147 each. There is a strict four ticket limit per customer policy in place. Patrons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice. This includes orders associated with same name, email address, credit card number or other information.

It was Thanksgiving Day that Adele announced the European tour that quickly sold out. Due to demand, a number of additional dates have been added to Adele’s 2016 UK & European Tour including Manchester, London, Birmingham, Zurich, Amsterdam and Antwerp.

The tour is in support of Adele’s new album, 25, which has sold a record number number of 5.19 million to retain the top album spot for its third week, according to Nielsen Music. The tour announcement comes ahead of Adele’s first TV special in four years, Adele: Live In New York City, airing tonight (Dec 14th) at 10 pm ET/PT on NBC.
