The event will be held on Grammy Sunday in Los Angeles
Aerosmith members Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Tom Hamilton are slated to reunite for a performance at Tyler’s Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday, February 2nd. Billboard reports the three will perform at the star-studded charity event that supports Tyler’s nonprofit, Janie’s Fund, the first since the group retired from the road last August, following ongoing vocal struggles by frontman Steven Tyler. The classic rockers performed three shows on its Peace Out farewell tour in 2023 before being forced to postpone indefinitely while Tyler was recovering from a vocal cord injury.
The sixth annual event, hosted by comedian Tiffany Haddish, will also feature Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perrym Matt Sorum, and Nuno Bettencourt performing.
This year’s event will also benefit the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighter’s Fund. It will also welcome 100 firefighters who’ve been at the forefront of the tragic wildfire situation in the Los Angeles area.
โWhat the Los Angeles community has endured with these wildfires is unthinkable. Music has healing powers and we hope to bring a moment of joy and levity to our first-responder firefighters and those most affected by the fires,โ Tyler states. โThe trauma experienced by the girls we work with is also unthinkable and we will continue to shed light and support the amazing work of Janieโs Fund.โ
The event will include a star-studded red carpet, cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, and exclusive after-party.
Janieโs Fund is a philanthropic initiative created by Steven Tyler in partnership with Youth Villages to bring hope and healing to girls who have suffered the trauma of abuse and neglect. Steven first gave voice to this cause with his Aerosmith’s 1989 hit, โJanieโs Got a Gun,โ and his fund ensures that these vulnerable girls will have an enduring voice for years to come. Janieโs Fund aims to bring much-needed awareness to the issue of abuse and neglect of children and to generate financial support to ensure that girls receive the most effective services available to help them overcome the trauma and pain of abuse. Contributions to Janieโs Fund support proven programs at Youth Villages that have demonstrated effectiveness in addressing the trauma of sexual abuse in children and expansion of these services to help even more girls.
