The album is available on CD and LP
Grammy nominated world music artist Ajay Mathur has released Little Boat, an excellent collection of tracks that literally combines the world of music. From rock, Indian instrumentation, pop, roots music, Little Boat is an album that has something for everyone, but it’s also an album that most everyone will enjoy.
Directly from his bio, Ajay says Little Boat is inspired by his “own life experiences and growing stronger in the face of adversity.” This is the foundation for many of the tracks on the album, which also explain how these experiences shaped Ajay to become a stronger, better person. It’s a biography of Ajay in songs that you’ll likely be able to relate upon listening, which we urge you to do.
The title track talks about hope and finding strength in the face of adversity, a relatable song all can relate to. The Arabian inspired “Who’s Sorry Now” is a great, rocking tune that nicely shows how Arjay combines very different genres to create an enjoyable, listenable track. And don’t think you’re in for something soft as we hear acoustic guitars open the track “My Wallet Is A House Of Cards” because it turns into another hard rocking tune, again showing Ajay’s musical genius in combining genres.
Little Boat is by no means a little album. It’s bound to be one of the biggest world music hits of this year.
