The Storm Before the Calm available now

Seven-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette releases her first meditation album, The Storm Before the Calm, co-written alongside Dave Harrington (Darkside). In conjunction with the wide release on traditional DSPs, the album is also available on the leading mental health app, Calm. The platform has all eleven tracks available for on-demand streaming. Fans can download Calm now for iPhone and Android and receive a seven day free trial for first-time subscribers.

Morissette has been a long-time advocate in the mental health and mindfulness space and this is an extension of that. The music is an aural journey of soothing instrumentation and expressive mid-tempo percussion. Three of the 11 tracks include atmospheric vocal tones. A CD edition is due August 26th.

Morissette is currently in the middle of her European headlining tour celebrating 25 years of Jagged Little Pill which will be followed by North American dates. The tour follow the rocker’s sold out No. 1 female-fronted tour from 2021, which was also one of the Top Worldwide Tours of 2021 selling over 500,000 tickets. Morissette will be joined by special guest Garbage on North American dates and Beth Orton appears on all European stops.
