The five-song EP showcases the singer-songwriter’s reflection
Allie Colleen kicks off the new year with the release of her five-song EP, Sincerely, Rolling Stone. The project will be available on February 21st.
“I wanted to return to my roots of creatingโcreating something that reflects how I feel. In the world of commercial music, everyone wants something they can relate to, something that feels like it was written specifically for them. Growing up, I didnโt have the luxury of relating to the people around me. I felt very isolated in my world, shaped by my childhood experiences,” she shares.
“This year, Iโve experienced heartbreak in a way I never have before. Iโve faced loss and isolation so profound that I donโt know how to make you relate to it. These songs, however, are for me. I donโt know if anyone on this planet will connect with them, but they saved my life in one way or another and played a pivotal role in my recent season of growth.
“With that, I sincerely hope you enjoy this project. I hope it can find a place in your life experiences. I pray it brings you as much comfort as it brought me during a time when I was deeply uncomfortable. As always, thank you for listening.
I want to thank my songwriters, who sat with me in rooms this past year, letting me cry, be honest, and, most importantly, vent about a life others might give everything to have. Thank you for seeing me and allowing me to show up exactly as I am.”
