Allie Colleen shares ‘Grass on the Grave’

The singer/songwriter offers a powerful ode to resilience against loss

Allie Colleen shares her new single “Grass On The Grave” with lyrics that invoke a powerful ode to resilience amidst loss. With a reputation as a notable songwriter with an iconic-sounding, impeccably strong voice, The new music is an emotional journey of healing and was co-written by Colleen, Alyssa Trahan, Krystal Polychronis, and Craig Wilson.

While not explicitly dedicated to songwriter Craig Wilson, this song resonates deeply with his memory and the loss felt by those who knew him.

“This song is a tribute to loss and all that comes out of it,” Colleen shares. “Sonically resembles the resiliency of healing and lyrically it represents the frustration of letting go. I hope it creates a safe space for recovery and pushes the listener forward to the pursuit of ‘more.’”

“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of; it has such a powerful message that I think will resonate with many people, and Allie’s performance is absolutely stunning. We knew we were onto something good the day we wrote it and I know Craig Wilson, our beloved co-writer who is no longer here with us, would be so proud,” adds co-writer Alyssa Trahan.

Dave Pahanish produced and mixed on the project, which was recorded at Allentown Studios in Nashville.
