Anne Wilson wraps ‘Rebel’ era with ‘Rebel (Revisited)’

The artist is celebrating the first anniversary of her genre-defying album with new versions of fan favorites

Anne Wilson marks the first anniversary of her genre-blending Christian country album with Rebel (Revisited), out now via UMG Nashville. First released on April 21, 2024, Rebel marked a turning point in Wilsonโ€™s career, fusing faith-filled messages with country grit. With Rebel (Revisited), Wilson closes the chapter of the trailblazing record, offering listeners five new takes of fan-favorite tracks that defined the era and solidified her place as one of Christian and country musicโ€™s most compelling voices.

โ€œI am so excited to release this special edition of Rebel on the one-year anniversary of this album that means so much to me,โ€ shares Wilson. “Since releasing Rebel, life has been such a whirlwind filled with one incredible moment after another. Seeing these songs go from the writing room to the studio, from the studio to the radio and finally to the stage has brought me so much joy! I hope these songs have encouraged people to remember that sometimes being a rebel ainโ€™t such a bad thing. After all, the one I follow was a rebel like me!”

The new deluxe version features a reimagined take of โ€œRain In The Rearview (Acoustic),โ€ as well as powerful acoustic and stripped-down collaborations including โ€œPraying Woman (Acoustic)” with Lainey Wilson โ€œCountry Gold (Acoustic)” with Jordan Davis, and her No. 1 hit at Christian radio โ€œStrong (Acoustic).โ€ Also included is the Church Session version of her latest single, โ€œThe Cross (Church Session),โ€ currently in the Top 10 and climbing at Christian radio.

A breakout moment in Wilsonโ€™s career, the project earned her first CMT Music Award nomination for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year with โ€œRain In The Rearviewโ€ and took home top honors at the 55th Annual GMA Dove Awards for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year.

After completing her 27-date sold out The Rebel Tour late last year, Wilson opened 2025 on the road for Winger Jam, which recently wrapped its 38-city run in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena to a sold-out crowd on March 23rd. Wilson will continue to bring her dynamic live show to audiences this summer at Christian and country musicโ€™s most buzzed-about festivals before joining Morgan Wallenโ€™s Iโ€™m The Problem Tour for select dates.
