Album was released Oct 30th

Ariana Grande’s latest album Positions debuts at No. 1 on four Billboard charts. The surprise album, released October 30th via Republic Records, debuts atop of the Billboard 200, Billboard Top Album Sales, Billboard Pop Album and Billboard Streaming Album charts.

It’s the pop star’s fifth ascent to the top on the Billboard 200 chart, and third No. 1 album in less than two and a half years. Neilsen Music/MRC Data shows Positions selling 174k equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending November 5th, according to Billboard.

Positions claims the spot with little notice and no merch or ticket album bundles, which most artists offer. Sales towards those bundles ceased to count as of October 9th. Grande teased the album on October 14th on social media, tweeting, “i can’t wait to give u my album this month.”

Grande claims the album with the second-largest streaming week for a non-R&B/hip hop or Latin album in 2020 with 173.54 million clicks. She comes in behind Taylor Swift’s Folklore that claimed 289.85 million streams in its first week of release.
