Stars performed two of GNR’s biggest hits

Country fans were in a Paradise City during last night’s (Sat, Apr 30th) Stagecoach festival as Carrie Underwood invited Axl Rose to the stage during her headlining performance. The duo performed Guns N Roses’ iconic “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City” together, much to everyone’s surprise.

“Welcome to the greatest night of my life! Give it up for Axl Rose,” Underwood told the crowd after singing the first verse of “Child.” Following the song, Underwood yelled, “You thought we were finished?” as the band kicked off the iconic guitar riff to “Paradise City.”

Following the songs, Rose thanked the crowd and Underwood before the two embraced with smiles.

The performance was part of the festival’s first-ever livestream coverage on YouTube.

Underwood is a diehard Guns N Roses fan who often covers some of their hits in concert, but hasn’t performed with the rocker live before. She shared those sentiments the next day.

“Best. Night. Of. My. Life!!! I am still freaking out!!! Thank you, @axlrose, for making this lifelong dream come true!!! You rocked that @Stagecoach stage harder than anyone has ever rocked it before!” the country star shared on Twitter after the show.
