AXS TV to air Brit Awards 2017

The Ceremony Airs as Part of a Day-Long Block Devoted to Beloved British Artists, Featuring Classic Concerts from Queen, Elton John, Eric Clapton, & More

The British are coming, as the network presents the AXS TV premiere of Brit Awards 2017 on Saturday, November 11th at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT. The special event will headline a day of classic concerts featuring some of the most iconic acts from across the pond in the British Artists block, starting at 1:10 pm ET.

The block kicks off with an insightful look at the legendary career of groundbreaking guitarist Eric Clapton in the profile Rock Legends: Eric Clapton. Next, at 1:40 pm ET, prog rock pioneers bring their psychedelic sound to Bristol in YES: Like It Is โ€“ YES At The Bristol Hippodrome. Beloved Beatle Ringo Starr shines with his five-piece All Starr Bandโ€“featuring Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie, Richard Page, Warren Ham, and Gregg Bissonetteโ€”in Ringo Starr And His 2016 All Starr Band at 3:25 pm ET; followed by guitar superstar Jeff Beck delivering a hit-packed performance in Japan in Jeff Beck โ€“ Live In Tokyo at 4:25 pm ET. Then, Queen heads behind the Iron Curtain for a historic stadium set that captures frontman Freddy Mercury on his last tour with the band in Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live In Budapest at 6:05 pm ET. And Elton John is awarded the first-ever BRITs Icon Award in a lively night that includes performances of โ€œIโ€™m Still Standing,โ€ โ€œTiny Dancer,โ€ and โ€œSad Songs (Say So Much),โ€ with guest Rod Stewart, in BRITs Icon: Elton John at 7:35 pm ET.

The night comes to a close at 9 pm ET, as some of the industryโ€™s biggest names take over Londonโ€™s legendary O2 Arena for an unforgettable celebration of all things music in the AXS TV premiere of Brit Awards 2017. The star-studded ceremony is emceed by X Factor UK host Dermot Oโ€™Leary and Big Brother UK hostess Emma Willis, and boasts appearances and performances by chart-topping superstars Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, and Emeli Sande, among others. The program includes a heartfelt tribute to dynamic showman George Michael, introduced by Michaelโ€™s Wham! partner Andrew Ridgeley and featuring Chris Martin performing the George Michael staple โ€œA Different Corner.โ€
