AXS TV reveals ‘Top Ten Revealed’ & ‘Year in Music’ fifth season premieres

Both move to Tuesdays beginning Apr 19th

AXS TV unveils a pair of premiere events this spring, as the network’s popular music-themed series The Top Ten Revealed and A Year In Music return for their fifth seasons — moving to a new night as they take over the Tuesday lineup starting April 19th. The Top Ten Revealed begins at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, followed by A Year In Music at 8:30 pm ET/5:30 pm PT.

Hosted and executive produced by Katie Daryl, hit countdown series The Top Ten Revealed proudly celebrates its milestone 100th episode this year with an unforgettable season packed with even more fun categories and all-star appearances by a rotating panel of fresh guests and returning favorites. Season five puts the spotlight on 12 all-new episodes, as icons from across the entertainment spectrum share their thoughts on the big screen’s best “Rock Star Movies;” turn up the heat with “Songs To Make You Blush;” cause a ruckus with “Fighting Songs;” send love to their moms on Mother’s Day with “Songs for Mom;” dig in to the Garden State with “Artists From New Jersey;” blaze through a selection of “Explosive Songs;” ring in the series’ 100TH Episode with “Songs For Champions;” pick a fresh batch of “Fruit Songs;” reflect on the best “Debut Albums Of 1992” in honor of their 30th anniversary; and more. Joining The Top Ten Revealed for the first time this season is GRAMMY-winning songstress Lisa Loeb, pop pioneer Taylor Dayne, improv mastermind Brad Sherwood, and Lit frontman Ajay Popoff, as well as beloved returnees such as Sebastian Bach, Dee Snider, Mary Lynn Rajskub, EG Daly, Matt Pinfield and Finesse Mitchell, among others.

Then, stay tuned for an insightful trip through some of music’s most influential eras with the informative profile series A Year In Music — hosted by Lzzy Hale, frontwoman of the GRAMMY-winning rock band Halestorm. A Year In Music examines a different period of the industry’s rich history every week, viewing each era’s biggest bands, influential albums, surprising breakups and monumental breakthroughs through the lens of the political and social happenings of the time. The series’ fifth season presents 12 all-new episodes, opening on April 19th with a look back at the Latin renaissance, pop battle of the sexes, and rise of Napster that helped define 1999.
