Network premieres concert films featuring Kiss, Def Leppard & Stevie Nicks

AXS TV gets the fireworks started this New Year’s with three days of explosive performances and events featuring some of rock’s most influential artists — airing Friday, December 31st through Sunday, January 2nd.

The New Year’s Eve party kicks off on December 31st with a pair of AXS TV network premieres from two of rock’s most iconic bands, opening with Kiss Rocks Vegas at 8 pm ET — capturing the make-up-clad masterminds during their acclaimed residency at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel, where they blaze through an epic set packed with pyrotechnics and signature hits such as “Rock And Roll All Nite,” “Psycho Circus,” “Black Diamond,” “Love Gun,” and “Detroit Rock City.” Then, Def Leppard roars into Sin City for an expansive show boasting two stages, video walls and more, delivering an unforgettable evening featuring rare cuts such as “Too Late For Love,” “Billy’s Got A Gun,” and “Slang,” and acoustic renditions of “Two Steps Behind,” “Let Me Be The One,” and “We Belong” in Def Leppard: Hits Vegas. Genre-blending superstar Kid Rock closes out the night with a lively set featuring crowd-pleasing singles “Bawitdaba,” “Cowboy,” and “Born Free.”

The festivities continue on New Year’s Day with a Saturday Stack lineup fully stocked with classic concerts, starting at 10 am ET as rock visionaries Fleetwood Mac reunite for a landmark set fueled by favorites such as “Rhiannon,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Dreams” in Fleetwood Mac – The Dance. Other highlights include performances from enduring entertainers such as jazzy rockers Chicago, quintessential pop pioneer Cyndi Lauper, rock trailblazers Heart, guitar virtuoso Peter Frampton, and beloved rock showman Tom Petty. The block is headlined by the AXS TV network premiere of Stevie Nicks – 24 Karat Gold at 8 pm ET — a spell-binding event filmed over two nights, that finds the acclaimed songstress sharing intimate stories and performing an array of rarities and hits including “Gold And Braid,” “Gypsy,” “Belle Fleur,” “Landslide,” and more.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday, January 2nd with a day of incredible music moments and star-studded profiles, featuring performances by Stevie Nicks and Bad Company, as well as groundbreaking British rockers The Who performing one of their most important albums in its entirety in The Who: Tommy – Live At The Royal Albert Hall; and GRAMMY-winner Van Morrison taking the Bay Area by storm as he performs “Travelin’ Light,” “Moondance,” “Going To Chicago,” and more in Van Morrison – Live At The San Francisco Jazz Center. Then, stay tuned for a pair of The Top Ten Revealed episodes as host Katie Daryl and celebrity guests countdown the absolute best female musicians who defined a decade in “80s Ladies” and the most legendary “Debut Albums Of 1981,” followed by an all-new episode breaking down the essential “Debut Albums Of 1982” at 8 pm ET. The block concludes at 8:30 pm ET with the premiere of Rock Legends: Post-Punk, an in-depth examination of the late-‘70s avant-garde wave that put standouts like Talking Heads, Joy Division, and The Cure on the modern music map.
