Launched in November 2011, the bootstrapped start-up BeatStars currently has over 100,000 registered users who use the service to license high quality beats and instrumental compositions for use commercially on their albums and singles. The new Spotify app is illustrative of the company’s ongoing efforts to bring beats and original music to songwriters and other music professionals wherever they choose to create.
