Beyonce releases unannounced self-titled visual album on iTunes

The album features 34 tracks

Beyonce has surprised her fans by secretly releasing a self-titled visual album via iTunes on Friday. The album is the singer’s fifth solo effort and features 32 tracks — 14 audio and 17 videos. While most artists spend months ahead of time promoting their new album, Beyonce waited until after it was released at midnight ET on December 13th before acknowledging it on her Facebook page.

Beyonce features collaborations with husband and rapper Jay Z, Drake, former Destiny’s Child partners Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake and her baby daughter Blue Ivy — featured in a track titled “Blue.”

Each of the album’s 14 audio tracks features an accompanied video. Plus, three bonus videos are included along with a digital booklet.

Beyonce is $15.99 for the 32 “tracks,” but individual tracks will be available a week after its release.
