Big Machine to release ‘The Music of Nashville: Original Soundtrack Season 3, Volume 2’ May 12th

The excitement on ABC’s hit series Nashville has reached a fever pitch and just before the Season 3 finale on May 13th, Big Machine Records will release The Music Of Nashville: Original Soundtrack Season 3, Volume 2 to digital retailers and Target. The project once again combines the talents of performers and songwriters alike, featuring 18 tracks sung by cast members throughout Season 3 as well as two additional tracks exclusively at Target. To date, music from Nashville has sold nearly 4.5 million digital tracks.

Between Will Lexington’s (Chris Carmack) new relationship and Layla Grant (Aubrey Peeples) opening for popstar turned country songstress Jade St. John (Christina Aguilera), the drama on Nashville continues to escalate. The cast will keep the momentum going, embarking on the Nashville Live in Concert Tour, which kicks off tonight (April 29th) at the Beacon Theater in New York with series stars Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Aubrey Peeples and Lennon & Maisy Stella. Carmack and Peeples will stop by The View that morning to offer a sneak peek of the soundtrack and concert.

Big Machine Records, along with ABC Studios, Lionsgate and Opry Entertainment — the entertainment powerhouses behind the show — have released six season soundtracks and created both live and televised events such as Nashville: On The Records Parts 1 and 2, whose live recording from the taping garnered the #1 spot on the iTunes Country Albums chart.

Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on ABC.
