Big Sean announces ‘Better Me Than You’

The new album will be available on August 30th

Hip-hop powerhouse Big Sean will release his highly anticipated album Better Me Than You on Friday, August 30th via Def Jam Recordings. In tandem with the release date, Sean unveiled the album’s cover artwork via social media.

Sean has released four advance tracks ahead of the project, building a steady drumbeat of hype leading up to his sixth studio album. Kicking off with the critically acclaimed comeback single “Precision,” Sean followed it up with the hard-hitting “Yes.” Last week, Sean released the song’s official Lyrical Lemonade-produced music video. Earlier this month, he teamed up with The Alchemist on “Together Forever” following the album’s heartfelt third single celebrating fatherhood, “On Up.”

A seven-time BET Award-winning and Grammy-nominated superstar, Big Sean is an uncompromising force in hip-hop and culture at the top of his game. Since unleashing his 2011 platinum-certified debut album Finally Famous on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam imprint, Sean has sold more than 50 million records and continues to elevate with no signs of slowing. A true multi-hyphenate, Sean is also gearing up to release his first book Go Higher via Simon and Schuster which serves as a spiritual guidebook for our times and outlines his five key practices for inner work and self-acceptance. His track record boasts an impressive 21 multi-platinum, platinum, and gold-certified hit singles, including collaborations with E-40, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, 2 Chainz, and others.
