The legendary singer/songwriter will return to the stage in July 2025
Billy Joel’s upcoming concert dates through June have been rescheduled for late 2025 into mid-2026 due to an undisclosed medical condition. The Piano Man’s team shared the news on social media, stating, “The current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors. Joel is expected to make a full recovery.”
The tour will resume at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, 2025.
“While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first. I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding,” Joel adds to the statement.
Rescheduled stops include a solo show in Toronto, Liverpool and Edinburgh, along with co-headlining dates with Stevie Nicks in Detroit, and Sting in Syracuse, Salt Lake City, Charlotte, and Milwaukee.
All purchased tickets will automatically be valid for the rescheduled shows.
It’s unclear if the issue stems from a recent fall the legendary singer/songwriter took while on stage in Montville, Connecticut on February 22nd. In a widely circulated TikTok video, Joel fell after tossing his microphone stand at the end of “It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me.” Members of his crew and band rushed to his aid and helped him to his feet where he finished the show, leaving fans concerned.
