Show will take place in Aug

Billy Joel’s monthly show at Madison Square Garden for January 14, 2022 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, August 24th due to the omicron surge of COVID cases.

“Nothing is more important to me than the safety and well-being of my band, crew, and the fans; so due to unfortunate COVID-related circumstances, we made the decision to reschedule the January 14th concert at MSG,” Joel says in a statement.

All tickets will be valid for the new rescheduled show date on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 and will not need to be exchanged.

Those who cannot commit to the rescheduled show date can request a refund over the next 30 days, beginning immediately. If a refund is not requested during the allotted time, tickets will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled show date.

Only tickets purchased directly through Ticketmaster or the Madison Square Garden Box Office are eligible for a refund. If tickets were purchased from a third party, ticket holders will need to go back to their point of purchase to determine refund availability.

Joel restarted the residency on November 5th with six rescheduled shows since the pandemic.

In December 2013, Joel was named Madison Square Garden’s first-ever music franchise, joining the ranks of the storied venue’s other original franchises – the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. The record-breaking residency began in January 2014 with Joel playing one show every month at The Garden, “as long as the demand continues,” says Joel.

Joel’s “Zanzibar” is among the top TikTok tracks of the year. The song landed at No. 3 on TikTok’s Top Classic Tracks 2021.

In February, Joel joins Metallica in headlining Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for one epic weekend. The weekend kicks off on Friday, February 25, 2022 with an unforgettable performance by Metallica, who will be joined by Greta Van Fleet. Joel will perform at the stadium on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
