Billy Joel announces his 102nd show of the residency

Piano Man Billy Joel has sold one million tickets to his Madison Square Garden (MSG) residency. Joel, who has become the venue’s first-ever music franchise, is in the midst of his fourth year of the residency that began in 2014. The one millionth ticket was sold to his August 23rd show, and he has just announced a show for September 30th. This show is his 56th of the residency and 102nd overall. General tickets go on sale February 23rd at 10 am EST, with ticket prices ranging from $65.50 to $139.50.

Joel has sold approximately 650 tickets per day and will play his 100th all time show at the venue on July 18th. Also, Billy Joel in Concert has been one of the top ten highest-grossing tours of 2014, 2015 and 2017 as he has performed in stadiums throughout the country during the residency.

Joel joins the ranks of the storied venue’s other original franchises – the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty. Since January 2014, Joel has played one show per month at The Garden as part of the Spectrum Concert Series.
