Billy Ray Cyrus has announced a new single and album for release this year. The single, “Hey Elvis,” is a collaboration between Cyrus, Bryan Adams and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Glenn Hughes, and was written by Adams and country songstress Gretchen Peters. The track is the debut single from his upcoming album Thin Line, due September 9th through Blue Cadillac Music. The song is available as an immediate download when you pre-order the album.

The official music video for “Hey Elvis” will premiered on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown last week and is now available for viewing at CMT.com and CMT Mobile. A lyric video for “Hey Elvis” was released through CountryRebel.com and its affiliated social platforms. Since its release in April, the video has garnered over 285k views on Facebook.

Cyrus will star in a new television series on CMT called Still The King, premiering Sunday, June 12th at 9 pm ET/PT. Each of the 13 episodes of the first season will be 30 minutes in length. Cyrus serves as executive producer and writer, and plays the center role of “Burnin’” Vernon Brown, a one-hit wonder who becomes an Elvis impersonator after a wreck into an old country church outside of Nashville during a drunken bender, he is sentenced to return and perform community service. Along the way he pretends to be the congregation’s new minister and re-connects with a former one-night-stand, only to discover he has a 15-year-old daughter he’s never met. Cyrus’ co-stars include Joey Lauren Adams, comedian/actor Kevin Farley (the late Chris Farley’s brother) and Madison Iseman as part of the reoccurring cast along with cameos by Randy Travis, Darius Rucker, Wayne Newton, Erik Estrada, John Corbett, and more.

Cyrus has been on a heavy media tour, which has included appearances on ABC News, Access Hollywood, CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown, CMT’s Southbound, E! News, Extra, Fox, Fox 411, Fox News Magazine, Fox and Friends, Entertainment Tonight Canada, Inside Edition, TODAY, SiriusXM Radio (Entertainment Weekly Radio, Free Wheelin’, The HODA Show, Prime Country), and more.
