Billy Ray Cyrus, Buck 22 release ‘Achy Breaky’ rap sequel

Cyrus raps and plays guitar on the song

Billy Ray Cyrus has taken his career to a whole new level by teaming up with rapper Buck 22 for a rap sequel to his 1992 smash, “Achy Breaky Heart.” The duo released the video Tuesday (Feb 11th).

The track, called “Achy Breaky 2,” features Buck 22 rapping new lyrics over an EDM-lite beat, while Cyrus raps the chorus and “plays” guitar. The video, released today, contains¬†scantily clad twerking women as aliens, an opening monologue from Larry King and Cyrus making an appearance to rap the catchy hook.

Larry King tweeted the news last month and a video was shot a few weeks later in Los Angeles.

King tweeted his excitement of the video earlier today.

For those who aren’t familiar with Buck 22, he is the son of jazz drummer Bill Elliot and veteran R&B singer Dionne Warwick.

Watch and judge for yourself, and if you still feel the need to add it to your music collection, you can download it from iTunes.
