Track cross pollenates hip hop and Latin

Six-time GRAMMY Award-winning, genre-bending pioneers Black Eyed Peas have unleashed a blockbuster new single and music video entitled “Hit It” featuring Saweetie and Lele Pons. The track brings together an icy multi-platinum hip hop force of nature and Latin music’s hottest rising star for a once-in-a-generation collaboration with the Los Angeles disruptors.

The track bounces along on a thick bass line and steady beat as Black Eyed Peas trade airtight verses punctuated by their signature clever and quotable bars. Lele Pons heats everything up with a bilingual cameo and the command, “Baby, let’s go one more time,” before Saweetie practically freezes the 808s with raunchy and raw rhymes of her own.

The track stands out as the trio’s newest drop since the 2020 smash “Girl Like Me” featuring Shakira. The gold-certified anthem has generated more than 340 million streams and the music video has garnered a whopping 463 million YouTube views. Meanwhile, the group’s triumphant comeback album, Translation, has racked up more than five billion total streams and views thus far.

The album houses four No. 1 hits, including the double platinum record-breaking “RITMO” with J Balvin, “Girl Like Me” featuring Shakira, gold-selling “Mamacita” with Ozuna and J. Rey Soul, and “Feel The Beat” with Maluma. Bending industry norms, Black Eyed Peas’ Latin fusion hits pushed Spanish language music onto Top 40 stations, and “RITMO” held the number one position on Billboard’s Hot Latin chart for 24 consecutive weeks. To date, Black Eyed Peas have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and notched numerous No. 1’s.
