Blackpink’s Lisa announces official comic

Alter-Ego: The Official Comic coincides with her solo debut album

Blackpink’s Lisa will launch Lalisa Comics in partnership with Zero Zero Entertainment. The company debuts with Alter-Ego: The Official Comic, a project inspired by and serving as a companion to her highly-anticipated solo debut album, set for release on February 28th via LLOUD Co./RCA Records.

The book will be a limited-edition, 56-page premium comic, inspired by the themes of Lisa’s upcoming album. Brought to life by the acclaimed Japanese artist Minomiyabi, each page is packed with dynamic storytelling and breathtaking artwork that embodies transformation, courage, and unity.

Zero Zero Entertainment and CEO Josh Frankel have partnered with top talent across entertainment, including music, sports, and pop culture. They are known for their unique approach to storytelling, which expands the narratives of artists and their personalities. In the past, they’ve collaborated with iconic musicians such as Metro Boomin, Boy with Uke, The Grateful Dead, Elvis, Gorillaz, and Machine Gun Kelly on innovative comic book activations. Their partnerships also extend beyond music with collaborations involving popular podcasters and athletes.

Lisa is best known as a member of the K-pop girl group Blackpink, one of the most popular girl groups in history. With this new partnership and the announcement of LLoud Co, she is ushering in a new era as both an artist and entrepreneur. Launched earlier this year, LLoud Co. was founded by Lisa to create a platform to showcase her overall vision in music and entertainment that pushes boundaries.

Beyond her success with Blackpink, Lisa has broken several records globally as a solo artist. With the release of Lalisa in 2021, she was the first female artist to sell nearly 750,000 copies in the first week in South Korea. “Lalisa” and “Money” charted in the top 10 of the Billboard Global 200, while “Money” also holds the record as the longest-charting song by a solo female K-pop artist on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and on the UK Singles Chart. Lisa broke three Guinness World Records in 2023 as the most Instagram followers for a K-pop artist (currently at 102 million followers on the platform), she is also the first solo K-pop winner at both the MTV Video Music Awards and the MTV European Music Awards.

Outside of music, Lisa stars in the recently released third season of the hit HBO Original series, The White Lotus. This role marks her major on-screen debut and is filmed in her native Thailand. The season premiere was on Sunday (Feb 16th) and delivered 2.4 million cross platform U.S. viewers on its debut night, which is 57% higher than the premiere night for season two (1.5 million) and 155% higher than season one (944k).
