Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani ‘Happy Anywhere’ with No 1

This marks the pair’s second rise to top of country charts together

Award-winning entertainer Blake Shelton is most certainly “Happy Anywhere” – but this week, “Anywhere” is the top of the country radio charts. The “joyous duet” (People) with his real-life love Gwen Stefani marks their second chart-topper together and his 28th overall. The single has earned 70 million on-demand streams as well as upwards of 600k U.S. track equivalents.

“I don’t know how the hell this keeps happening, but I couldn’t be more grateful that it does,” Shelton says. “Thank you to the songwriters, the music makers, the fans… thank you to my team and to country radio… and, of course, thank you to the incredible Gwen Stefani. Wishing everyone health and safety. We hope that y’all can be ‘Happy Anywhere’ this holiday season.”

Shelton and Stefani debuted “Happy Anywhere” on the TODAY Summer Concert Series, and they also performed together on the ACM Awards. MusicRow described the single, written by Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Matt Jenkins, as “bopping, sunny and bright, plus loaded with romantic optimism,” stating: “If I’ve ever heard a quarantine/pandemic love song, this is it.” Meanwhile, The Oklahoman proclaimed that Shelton and Stefani “have another sweet, surefire hit duet on their hands.”

The feel-good duet is the follow-up single to Shelton and Stefani’s platinum-certified No. 1 smash “Nobody But You” from Fully Loaded: God’s Country. The album, a collection of new music and previous hits, recently won Favorite Album – Country at the American Music Awards. The title track earned him the 2019 CMA Award and 2020 ACM Award for Single of the Year. Shelton also took home Country Artist of 2020 at the People’s Choice Awards.

Shelton and Stefani are currently coaching the 19th season of NBC The Voice. Stefani just released her new single, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself,” to digital outlets as her holiday album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, was just reissued with two new songs, including Ryan Tedder co-write “Here This Christmas.”
