Official video made its premiere across CMT & ViacomCBS billboards
If reincarnation is in the cards for Blake Shelton, you can be sure that the country music superstar is coming back in a blaze of glory. In the official music video for “Come Back As A Country Boy,” Shelton rises from the ashes to embrace his place in God’s country. The fiery video, directed by Sophie Muller, made premiered on Wednesday (Nov 10th) across all CMT platforms, including the ViacomCBS billboards in New York City’s Times Square.
“This video is an adventure,” Shelton shares. “But at the end of the day it’s just me, my dog and my truck… and, of course, a beer. It’s me being a country boy in my favorite place on Earth.”
“Come Back As A Country” boy is heating up the country airplay charts as it rockets toward the Top 25. Shelton will perform the the track tonight on the 55th Annual CMA Awards, airing at 8 pm ET/delayed PT on ABC. The single is the first new track from Body Language Deluxe, due December 3rd. Last week Shelton offered another album preview by sharing the special song he co-wrote for his wedding to Gwen Stefani.
The beloved entertainer is currently nominated for Country Artist of 2021 at the People’s Choice Awards. Meanwhile, as an eight-time champion coach, Shelton taking his team into the 21st season of live competition on NBC’s Emmy-winning show The Voice.
