Bob Seger announces 2017 Runaway Train Tour

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band are going back on the road after a two year break. The group will launch their 2017 North American Tour on August 24th in arena and amphitheaters in Boston, Detroit, Columbus, Atlanta and Dallas. Additional dates and venues to be announced include Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Minneapolis and more.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of the highly-anticipated show at Pine Knob selling out in nine minutes during the pre-sale.

Tickets go on sale starting Friday, June 9th at Live Nation. Some dates are on sale June 16th with others available June 23rd. Special guest includes Nancy Wilson of Heart on select dates.

Fans are concerned that this may Seger’s final tour. Earlier this week, the rocker posted a cryptic video on Twitter featuring “Turn The Page” with a graphic stating, “One last time.” Seger has yet to address the video or confirm the rumors.

Just this week, Seger’s Greatest Hits album was released on vinyl and certified diamond by the RIAA for achieving ten million units sold in the U.S.

In 2015, Seger was honored with Billboard’s Legend of Live Award at the 12th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards for his significant and lasting impact on the touring industry.
