News was revealed during a SXM roundtable discussion
Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed that he is compiling a follow up to Bon Jovi’s 2004 box set, 100 Million Fans Can’t Be Wrong, for the band’s 40th anniversary in 2023. During a recent SiriusXM Roundtable celebrating the 35th anniversary of Slippery When Wet, JBJ revealed that his team is currently archiving material from their vaults for the project.
“To coincide with what will be our 40th anniversary in 2023, we’re in the midst of archiving anything and everything we have, and much to my surprise, there’s probably 40 or 50 songs that we had no idea existed,” Bon Jovi shares. “We’re going through that all right now. And now that technology is such — whether it’s lyric books or photographs and video and film and things — I had no idea that I was such a hoarder, we have a lot. And to coincide with the 40th anniversary is going to be the be all end all box set.”

Pop star P!nk was tapped to host the Zoom roundtable that included drummer Tico Torres, keyboardist David Bryan and bassist Hugh McDonald along with Slippery video director Wayne Isham and video producer Curt Marvis. The special is currently airing as an audio program on Bon Jovi Radio on the SiriusXM app, and included about 100 SXM contest winners watching as it all unfolded off air.
100 Million Fans Can’t Be Wrong celebrated the band’s 20th anniversary and marked a milestone of surpassing 100 million albums globally. The set featured a collection of B-sides and unreleased demos up to that point across four CDs with a bonus DVD of behind the scenes footage and more.
The band’s most recent album, 2020, was released last fall and premiered in the top ten around the world.
