Event returns to Louisville, KY this Sept

Danny Wimmer Presents is pleased to announce the much-anticipated return of the one-of-a-kind Bourbon & Beyond destination festival, is heading back to its home at Louisville’s Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center September 15-18th.

Five years ago, DWP – already running strong with Louder Than Life – imagined an idea to further explore Louisville as a unique American destination city, one at the crossroads of great music and incredible food in the heart of Bourbon country.

The idea for Bourbon & Beyond was born, bringing in an eclectic lineup of music all-stars (including acts such as Stevie Nicks, Robert Plant And The Sensational Space Shifters, Zac Brown Band, Daryl Hall & John Oates, John Fogerty, ZZ Top and Lenny Kravitz among others), alongside top-notch culinary demonstrations and the finest bourbon selections, as well as appearances from master distillers. In short order the event established itself as the World’s Largest Bourbon & Music Festival, in 2019 bringing in a record attendance of 91,000 people.

“We are thrilled to welcome back one of the greatest music and food festivals, Bourbon & Beyond. As the home of Bourbonism, our city boasts ten distillery experiences and the Urban Bourbon Experience, a city-wide trail filled with award-winning micro-distilleries, exhibits, and craft cocktail destinations. Pair that with the world-class entertainment at Bourbon & Beyond and you have the perfect recipe for an unforgettable long weekend in Louisville,” states Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. “Cheers to the teams at Danny Wimmer Presents, Kentucky Venues and Louisville Tourism for being great partners in our city’s growth and momentum and for pulling together, yet again, another incredible festival for this September.”

“Bourbon & Beyond is a festival that is so much about, and defined by, the culture in Kentucky,” Wimmer adds. “We are so ecstatic to bring it back and so thankful for the great relationship DWP has with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Kentucky Venues, City of Louisville and Louisville Tourism, which has allowed Bourbon & Beyond to become such a source of pride for the community and bourbon industry. With Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life both back, and bigger than ever, there’s no better place to be this September than Louisville.”

The festival’s return in 2022 will mark Bourbon & Beyond’s most impressive venture yet, expanding to four full days for the first time in the event’s history. The lineup promises to include a star-studded selection of the best classic rock, Americana, alt rock and bluegrass with 50-plus bands on three stages, alongside hands-on bourbon workshops and tastings, culinary programming with celebrity chefs, and the return of fan favorites The Kroger Big Bourbon Bar, The Silver Dollar Hunter’s Club featuring rare bourbons, Tiki Barrel Bar, craft beer, speakeasies and more that will make it the most wide-ranging festival weekend of the year. The full music lineup and more details will be announced in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, fans can lock in early bird prices, with weekend General Admission and VIP passes (including premier tiers The Mint VIP Experience and Beyond VIP Top Shelf presented by Angel’s Envy) and camping on sale now for just $10 down.

In addition, fans can purchase the Exacta Pass, which includes general admission to both Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life. Fan can enjoy all eight festival days for only $449, plus fees. The Exacta Pass will sell fast as it is only available in an extremely limited capacity.
