Fish Out Of Water will air on Amazon Prime
Brad Paisley is set to star in his first TV series. The Hollywood Reporter has unveiled that Paisley is set to executive produce and star in Fish Out Of Water for Amazon after the retail giant committed to a script during a multi-outlet bidding war.
The comedy is described as a Larry Sanders take on celebrity vanity projects and a behind-the-scenes look at country music star Paisley’s struggle to keep a simple little fishing show from turning into his own personal Frye Festival.
Arrested Developement and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s A.D. Miles will pen the script and exec produce along with actor Will Arnett, Artists First’s Peter Principato, Marc Forman, Paisley and his longtime manager Bill Simmons, and Kendal Marcy. Sony Pictures Television is producing the half hour comedy where Arnett and Forman’s Electric Avenue have an overall deal.
Fish Out Of Water will mark Paisley’s first series regular starring role after making guest appearances on The Crazy Ones, According To Jim, King of the Hill and Nashville.
