Brad Paisley performs surprise concert for US Troops in Afghanistan‏

The singer performed an hour long acoustic set

Brad Paisley was a surprise guest at Bagram Airfield on Sunday, May 25th, where he played an hour long acoustic set for approximately 3,000 U.S. troops in honor of Memorial Day.

Boarding Air Force One with President Barack Obama on Saturday night, Paisley made the overnight flight to Bagram in order to perform and express his thanks to the troops. From the stage, Brad referred to the event as “the honor of my life.”

The trip was not announced and a complete surprise until they landed. President Obama delivered a speech to the troops expressing thanks for their extraordinary service, met with military commanders and visited wounded troops in the base hospital.
