Brad Paisley releases ‘Without A Fight’ with Demi Lovato

Country superstar Brad Paisley has teamed up with pop superstar Demi Lovato for his new single, “Without A Fight,” that is available now digitally and at country radio.

The track is the first single from his forthcoming tenth studio album on Arista Nashville that is scheduled for release this fall. The uptempo guitar-laden track is currently the featured iHeartCountry World Premiere track.

Co-produced by Brad Paisley and Luke Wooten, the song was co-penned by Paisley, Kelley Lovelace and Lee Thomas Miller. Paisley tells iHeartRadio that the idea to feature Lovato came about when the pair performed during the iHeartRadio Music Awards in April.

“Working with Demi is quite amazing. I mean, we’re talking about a singer that I really believe has no limit to the notes she can hit. She can hit notes we can’t hear. You’d have to be a dog to be able to hear some of the pitches she’s able to get to with her voice,” he states.

He continues, “We met [at the iHeartRadio Music Awards] playing a song called ‘Stone Cold.’ I played guitar for her on that and it was a blast. Standing there next to her in a performance in a song like that and hearing what her voice can do, we both decided we needed to do something else together and that’s why we cut this which to me is the polar opposite of what ‘Stone Cold’ is which is that sorta stripped down ballad thing. [“Without A Fight”] is a really fun, uptempo, meaty, aggressive song and her voice with mine really worked great.”

Paisley teased the duet earlier this week on Twitter with a short video and an unidentified duet partner and Paisley asking “Guess who?” A clue was actually when Lovato responded asking, “Reba McEntire?”

The pair will perform the single together for the first time on national television on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on on Tuesday, May 24th on ABC at 11:35 pm EST.
