Breakaway Music Fest announces 2022 California stop

Gryffin, Louis The Child, Said the Sky and others will headline

Prime Social Group has announced their fifth event in the multi-city, genre blending Breakaway Music Festival with Breakaway California. Set for Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th at Oakland Arena Grounds in Oakland, Northern California, the west coast Breakaway will feature live music from Gryffin, Louis The Child, Big Wild, Said The Sky, Tycho and more.

Tickets for the two-day event go on sale Thursday, July 21st at 10 am PST via Ticketmaster. Two-day passes for Breakaway California start at $134.

Joining Gryffin, Louis The Child, Big Wild, Said The Sky and Tycho on Breakaway California are Aluna (of AlunaGeorge), Bryce Vine, DROELOE, Frank Walker, Endless Summer: Jonas Blue x Sam Feldt, MEMBA (DJ set), Netsky, Snakehips, So Tuff So Cute (Mija & GG Magree), Whethan, Austin Millz, JAWNS, Jon Casey, Kilamanzego, Łaszewo, Noodles, pluko, and Syence, with more to be announced. Plus, look for a stage takeover from Brownies & Lemonade.

With five different editions each offering a unique line-up, Breakaway Music Festival will kick off in Kansas City August 5-6th before traveling to Michigan August 19-20th, Ohio August 26-28th, Carolina September 30 through October 1st, and California October 14-15. Breakaway is working closely with partners and local officials in all five markets to ensure quality festival experiences fans have come to expect while implementing heightened health and safety protocols. For California, Breakaway is partnering with Another Planet Entertainment, introducing a new festival in the Northern California market.

“We’re thrilled to announce the fifth and final festival for Breakaway in California,” states Zach Ruben, co-founder of Prime Social Group. “We’re excited to also be introducing a new market into the mix with this amazing weekend lineup of live music.”

In addition to the stellar lineup, Breakaway will have on-site activations at each festival including the Silent Disco presented by White Claw, a roller rink, rides, local art, and more, taking its unique, all encompassing music experience to a whole new level.

The Breakaway Music Festival began in Columbus, OH, in 2013 and quickly grew into a two-day, multiple stage festival bringing exceptional names like Chance The Rapper and Kendrick Lamar to the Midwest. With several market expansions over the years, the multi-city festival has amassed a loyal following with over 60,000 in attendance in 2021 in Ohio, North Carolina, and Michigan.
