Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett have conflicting tour plans

Despite attempts to tour this summer, Poison is planning to hit the road again in 2015, at least according to frontman Bret Michaels.

In an interview on Friday (Oct 3rd) with Orlando’s My News 13 TV, Michaels states that the tour could start in May.

“In 2015, we – as Poison – I’m thinking –  not officially going on record, but rumoring – I’m going to say probably after Memorial Day weekend,” Michaels tells Entertainment Anchor/Reporter Allison Walker. “I’m just thinking of reuniting all of the original – cuz we can’t go out with all of the original guys. It’s gotta be CC, Bobby and myself and I think we’re going to have to throw a mega Poison summer bash together next year.”

You might’ve noticed one name left off that members list: drummer and founding member Rikki Rockett.

Rockett, who earlier this year took to Twitter to express his frustrations about not touring in 2014, tweeted nothing but love for Michaels in a new tweet Friday morning: “In regard to the interview about Bret and the Poison tour… Bret’s my brother. He’s got my back. I’ve got his. I’m sure it’s all good.”

Rockett has also gone on record stating that he is unaware of any touring plans Poison may have lined up for next year.

“I’m just thinking of reuniting all of the original – cuz we can’t go out with all of the original guys.”

“Well, I don’t really know what the reality of that is, quite honestly,” Rockett said during a podcast interview with 14-year-old radio host Miles “The Shoe” Schuman. “Bret says a lot of things.”

I’m not gonna say if it will happen or won’t happen, because I really don’t know,” he adds. “Nobody’s given me any indication that there’s a tour at all.

“I don’t know why [Bret] said what he said. Nobody’s sat down with me and said, ‘There’s a pending tour here. What do you think about that?’ I haven’t heard anything about that. So the reality is, at this point in time, right now, as I sit here talking to you, there is not a Poison tour. That doesn’t mean there couldn’t be one. But I’m just saying that I haven’t had a contract come across my table. I didn’t get the text. I didn’t get the memo on that one. [Laughs].”

Poison’s last tour was with Def Leppard and Lita Ford in 2012.
