Brian Kelley announces debut solo LP

Sunshine State of Mind drops June 25th

Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley is pledging he’s a “Florida Boy Forever” with his debut album, Sunshine State of Mind, available June 25th via Warner Music Nashville/Nashville South Records, Inc.

“They say write what you know and this is the first time I really wrote for me. These songs are my babies, y’all,” shares Kelley. “This project came from a real place – my experiences as a kid in Florida, getting away, and finally moving back – and it’s just been a very life-giving thing for me. I hope fans get to know a little more about me, hear my voice, and that Sunshine State of Mind takes you on a dreamlike vacation as soon as you hit play. Welcome to Season One.”

Six tracks are available for instant download upon preorder, featuring BK’s Wave Pack – “Made By The Water,” “Party On The Beach,” “Beach Cowboy,” and “Sunday Service In The Sand” – in addition to new releases including open ocean anthem “Highway On The Water” and white sand serenade “Songs For You.”

Born to make waves from the start, the Ormond Beach, FL-native looks beyond the water’s edge and deep dives into the place where his soul is most at peace. Leading the 17-track lost-in-the-sunset batch with a “Boat Names” dedication, he finds all-good inspiration while reconnecting to his Florida roots in Sunshine State of Mind. Blazing a sonic path through the coastal dunes of his childhood, Kelley co-penned and co-produced the project alongside Corey Crowder.

Continuing to welcome viewers into his “Beach Cowboy” way-of-life after dropping 4x the music videos with BK’s Wave Pack, Kelley’s rolling out two more as he adds an immersive visual experience to his music. Ditching his motorcycle and the asphalt for a “Highway On The Water,” Kelley’s collaborator Ben Christensen stars in and directs the “make our own road”-style clip captured on-location in his home base of Phoenix, AZ, with Kelley opening the cinematic cruiser with full dialogue. Needing nothing more than making some good memories on the water with his girl by his side in the footage, the same sweet sentiment rings true in the idyllic Christensen-directed “Songs For You” video, featuring Kelley and wife Brittney, plus local couples they met while exploring Grayton Beach, FL. Taking a page right out of Kelley’s songbook, the real-life romances slow dance around the “picture-perfect end to a day.”

Kelley and his Florida Georgia Line bandmate Tyler Hubbard will return to the stage this fall with their I Love My Country Tour 2021 – presented by Old Camp, sponsored by T-Mobile, and produced by Live Nation. The duo have invited Russell Dickerson as direct support on the 29-stop trek, with Lauren Alaina and Redferrin opening all dates.
