For the first time this holiday season, Brian Wilson and his crack band of musicians and vocalists, along with long time bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, will be hitting the Christmas touring circuit. The group will be performing the seminal 1964 classic The Beach Boys’ Christmas Album in its entirety, along with cuts from his 2005 solo Christmas album, What I Really Want for Christmas, and other holiday fan favorites.
The tour kicks off November 28th in Minneapolis with stops in New York, Florida, Texas and others before wrapping December 23rd in Reno, NV. Various pre-sales begin April 2nd for select markets. All tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.
Fans can expect to hear Beach Boy classics “Little Saint Nick,” “The Man with all The Toys,” solo cuts “What I Really Want For Christmas,” “Christmasey,” and a selection of Wilson’s favorite Yuletide songs including “Blue Christmas” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” among others.
Brian Wilson is a co-founder of The Beach Boys, a Kennedy Center Honors recipient, a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, a multiple-GRAMMY Award winner, and a U.K. Music Hall of Fame inductee. As a member of The Beach Boys, Wilson was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and honored with The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
