Trailer led by J-Hope

K-Pop superstars BTS has unveiled Outro : Ego, the comeback trailer for their fourth studio album, Map of the Soul: 7, scheduled for release on February 21st via Big Hit Entertainment.

The song is an energetic pop song featuring African rhythms and features J-Hope at its forefront. The track samples the beats from the intro of BTS’ debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool, released in June 2013.

In the track, J-Hope sings how the path that led him to BTS hasn’t been easy, but was chosen by fate. In the comeback trailer, the lyrics of the song take a look back during the past seven years since the superstar group’s debut. Similarly, the group’s briefly visualized as if looking back at the past. By the end of the video, visual effects take the group into new heights as J-Hope arrives in a colorful city where his current image is projected.

This is the second comeback trailer, following Interlude : Shadow led by Suga which was released on January 9th. “Black Swan” is the first single, an all-new Emo hip hop track that meshes a touch of Cloud rap, trap drum beats, doleful lo-fi guitar sounds, and a catchy hook.

The global launch of Map of the Soul: 7 is scheduled for February 21st at 6 pm KST/4 am EST.

The group is launching the Map of the Soul Tour on April 11th in their native Seoul’s Olympic Stadium. The 37 date tour will take the record-breaking group to 17 cities across three continents visiting brand new cities, audiences and iconic venues throughout the summer.
