The Latin guitarist had an accidental fall at his Hawaiian home
Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana has postponed the next run of his Las Vegas residency shows because of an “accidental fall” at his home in Hawaii.
“I am sorry to say that Carlos was out taking a walk at his vacation home in Kauai. He took a hard fall, and he broke his little finger on his left hand. He had to have pins inserted in the finger. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to play guitar for approximately six weeks. Doctors do say that he will recuperate fully,” his management confirms. “Carlos is doing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon. He just needs to heal,” Mr. Vrionis added. “Santana profoundly regrets these postponements of his upcoming performances, but accidents happen, and his health is our number one concern. He is looking forward to seeing all of his fans very soon.”
Before the accident, Santana had dates for An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live: Presented by SiriusXM, scheduled in January, February, and May 2025. The residency is in its 13th year, featuring unparalleled dynamic energy from Carlos and his band. The concert is a must-see live experience for fans of the award-winning artist.
It’s unclear if his Oneness Tour in 2025 will be affected. The US portion of the tour is slated to kick off in Highland, CA on April 16th with stops in Phoenix, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; San Antonio, TX; Sugar Land, TX; Thackerville, OK; Tulsa, OK; and Nashville, TN. The Europe and UK portion of the tour begins on June 9th in Lodz, Poland with stops throughout Europe and the UK, ending in Copenhagen, Denmark on August 11th.
