New meanings unfold with hopeful tribute video

Carly Pearce is giving everyone a hope with her new video for “It Won’t Always Be Like This.” The emotional video was recorded while practicing social distancing with the screen split into six frames featuring Pearce and each of her five band members performing at their respective homes. The clip also includes COVID-19 shots of the world during quarantine and pre-coronavirus concert clips and images of Pearce.

“When I wrote this song, I knew that it was going to be a special one, but little did I know all of the ways it was to unveil its meaning even deeper. A beautiful thing for me is seeing how we ALL can relate in some way right now. My band and I created a special video to hopefully give people peace and comfort through this very uncertain time. I hope everyone holds onto their faith and their loved ones a little tighter. Remember, it won’t always be like this.”

The track is her latest single from her self-titled sophomore album, released in February 2020 via Big Machine Label Group. Last month, Pearce and Lee Brice were awarded RIAA and CRIA gold certification plaques for their duet “I Hope You’re Happy Now.” The Top 10-and-rising duet has exceeded global consumption milestones, racking up over 130M+ streams to date.
