The unveiling was during a show at The Ryman Auditorium
The Grand Ole Opry, with the help of Opry member Carly Pearce, unveiled a custom Dolly-themed Opry mic stand during Pearceโs sold-out show at the Ryman Auditorium Friday night (May 16th) to close out her 40+ date Hummingbird World Tour.
Just before performing the iconic song โJolene,โ the Grammy, CMA, and ACM Award-winning country star revealed the specially designed Opry mic stand in honor of Parton, one of the Opryโs most beloved global ambassadors. The stand commissioned exclusively for the Opryโs 100th year, features sparkling rhinestones, pink and purple butterflies, and other design elements inspired by Dollyโs signature style. It will be used throughout the Opryโs centennial celebration.
Pearce, who performed at Dollywood as a teenager, has long cited Dolly as one of her biggest influences. On June 21, 2021, Dolly surprised Pearce with her invitation to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. She officially was inducted into the Opry family on August 3, 2021.
The yearlong Opry 100 celebration will pay tribute to the artists, fans and songs that have cemented the Opry as the cultural heart and home of country music since its debut on WSM radio in 1925. Opry 100 will be marked through memorable events during 2025, from an international Opry performance to special shows, exhibits, deluxe book publishing and merchandise.
