Carly Rae Jepsen announces US headlining spring tour

Multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen will hit the road on a U.S. cross country headlining tour in support of her critically acclaimed new album E·MO·TION, which was released in August via Schoolboy Records/Interscope.

The tour kicks off on February 12th in Raleigh, NC with stops including The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on February 25th and Terminal 5 in New York City on March 25th. Jepsen will also perform her version of Wham!’s holiday classic “Last Christmas” on The Late Late Show with James Corden on December 16th at 12:37 am ET/PT / 11:37 am CT. Carly will ring in the New Year at Venetian Las Vegas performing three headline concerts inside The Venetian Theatre on December 30th and 31st and January 2nd with tickets are on sale at venetian.com/newyearseve.

“Working on this album has been the passion project of my life and playing these songs live feels like an absolute celebration. Can’t wait to come share that feeling with my fans,” says Jepsen.

E·MO·TION has earned Jepsen a host of rave reviews and has been named one of the best albums of 2015 by Rolling Stone, TIME, SPIN, NPR, Vulture, COMPLEX, Entertainment Weekly, Stereogum, Cosmopolitan, Idolator and many more. New York magazine raves E·MO·TION is “rapturous, hook-filled…as big and churning as tidal waves…a joyful freedom from the pop game’s stuffy rules.” The New York Times notes that E·MO·TION is “brimming with potential radio singles ripe for group sing-alongs.” Two of those singles have already been released, “Run Away With Me” and “I Really Like You.” The latter became a global Top 40 hit, and its video is Vevo Certified with over 100 million views.

Jepsen recently premiered the video for her new single “Your Type” on Vevo. Directed by filmmaker Gia Coppola, the video was shot at Los Candiles Night Club in Los Angeles.

Jepsen will also star as the iconic Pink Lady, “Frenchy,” in GREASE: LIVE which airs Sunday, January 31st (7-10 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Jepsen joins the multi-talented ensemble cast, including Julianne Hough (“Safe Haven,” “Rock of Ages”) as “Sandy,” Aaron Tveit (“Graceland,” “Les Miserables”) as “Danny,” Vanessa Hudgens (Broadway’s “Gigi,” “Spring Breakers”) as “Rizzo,” Carlos PenaVega (“Spare Parts,” “Big Time Rush”) as “Kenickie,” Keke Palmer (SCREAM QUEENS, “Masters of Sex”) as “Marty,” Kether Donohue (“You’re The Worst”) as “Jan” and David Del Rio (“Spare Parts,” “The Troop”) as “Putzie,” Jordan Fisher (“Teen Beach Movie”) as “Doody”; and Andrew Call (Broadway’s “Rock of Ages,” “American Idiot”) as “Sonny”.

E·MO·TION is the follow-up to Jepsen’s U.S. debut album Kiss, which featured her blockbuster break-out hit “Call Me Maybe.” The single climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries and has sold over 18 million singles worldwide to date. It earned Jepsen 2012 GRAMMY nominations for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year. Kiss also spawned the follow-up hit “Good Time,” a duet with Owl City, which has been certified double-platinum. Jepsen spent much of 2014 starring in the Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, earning rave reviews.
