Multi-genre singer-songwriter Caroline Jones, who recently became a full-time band member of Zac Brown Band, has shared “Lawless,” the second track from her forthcoming studio album, expected later this fall. The song, co-written with celebrated industry veterans Pete Good and Brandon Ratcliff and co-produced with Brandon Hood and Ric Wake, gives listeners a mix between Keith Urban and U2.

Coming off the heels of her successful recent release, “Keep It Safe” featuring Alyssa Bonagura, “Lawless” has hooky melodies that purposefully never go to the one chord, creating a feeling of being constantly suspended, or “on the edge,” as the lyrics intend. Like most of her music, Jones plays the guitar solo and instruments on this track.

“I love how the sonic landscape evokes the images in the lyrics,” Jones shares. “‘Lawless’ compares love to the Wild West, in which desire, desperation and dreams rule at all costs. I love the line ‘you care so damn much you couldn’t care less,’ which captures the out of control, both terrifying and electrifying high that is devotion.”

Jones officially joined Grammy-Award winning Zac Brown Band as the first and only female in 2022. She is headlining performances with her bandmates, and solo sets, in London, Glasgow and Dublin as part of the C2C Country to Country Festival this weekend, as well as headlining shows at CMC Rocks in Australia later this month. The band is hitting the road again in the US this summer for their From The Fire Tour, kicking off in Columbus, OH, on June 30th. They will perform over 30 shows, including a return to Fenway Park, where they have sold out 13 times previously.

The forthcoming studio album will be Jones’ third, following her sophomore album, Antipodes, released in November 2021. Antipodes debuted at No. 4 on the iTunes Country charts and featured her first Top 30 hit, “Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable),” which has become a TikTok sensation with its viral line dance that’s racked in over 539+ million views and counting.
