Carrie Underwood has announced that she will host a surprise CMT Instant Jam show in Atlanta tonight (Friday, September 18th).
“Hey Atlanta! Head over to Central Park at Atlantic Station at 10am ET to get your wristband for Carrie’s #CMTInstantJam show tonight at the Variety Playhouse!” the singer shared on social media early Friday.
Wristbands will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis to patrons 18 and over.
Underwood is one of several artists to participate in CMT Instant Jam pop up concerts in recent weeks. Darius Rucker hosted a surprise concert in his hometown of Charleston, SC in late August that aired a week later while Hunter Hayes surprised fans in Lexington, KY on September 9th. Hayes’ concert premieres on CMT on September 26th.
Kenny Chesney and Florida Georgia Line have also hosted CMT Instant Jam surprise concerts. No word on when Underwood’s performance will air. The concert is being held just a few days before Underwood’s headlining performance at the Apple Music Festival in London on September 21st, making her the first country artist to headline the event.
Underwood is set to release her fifth studio album, Storyteller, on October 23rd and features the record-breaking single, “Smoke Break.”
